I love being surrounded by beautiful things, so my work is inspired by the decorative arts and the stories they tell. Through watercolor, I explore the timeless beauty of creations from the past, including historic wallpapers, antique porcelain, botanicals, and the natural landscapes of Virginia and beyond. I am drawn to bright colors, layered patterns and reincorporating ideas from the past with a modern twist.
