It is never too early to get started! This timeline gives you a good idea for when to get started with the process and when to send out each piece. Allow a couple weeks for the design process because the proofing process varies between each couple. Coordination is key! During the design process, I will show you different ways and ideas to make everything cohesive while implementing each couple's personality!
SAVE THE DATES
I would recommend sending your save the dates 6-9 months before the wedding. This gives your guests enough time to plan accordingly. This piece usually contains basic information, including wedding date, location and website information for more specific details.
WEDDING INVITATIONS
These go out 6-8 weeks before the wedding. A good time to start the design process is 6 months before the wedding. The proofing process will vary. Filter in time for guest addressing and calligraphy services, which normally take about 1-2 weeks.
WEDDING DAY PAPER
A lot of details will need to be figured out before starting this process. Wedding day paper includes programs, menus, place cards, escort cards, welcome packets, signage and more. These pieces will coordinate with your wedding suite, so start the process at least a month before the wedding. We can complete the designs and fill in information when you finalize the details.
WEDDING STATIONERY
This is a good thing to order as soon as possible. You will receive gifts at engagement parties and showers, so thank you notes are a great thing to have on hand. This is the last chance to use your current name! After you are married, you will want a new set of stationery with your new last name or married monogram. Again, it is always fun to make your stationery coordinate with the rest of your wedding suite!
