ELLA LETTERPRESS PROCESS
Wedding Invitations set the tone for your event, so I would love to work with you to create a memorable wedding paper suite that captures your personality as a couple. Designing invitations is meant to be fun, and I love to collaborate, so my goal is for you to be involved in the design process and get excited about paper! I encourage you to ask me anything throughout the wedding planning process. I will help you coordinate your whole paper suite from save the dates to day of paper needs. I will guide you through any questions of etiquette. Ella Letterpress is a service!
STEP 1: GATHERING INSPIRATION
To make your paper suite truly unique, I encourage you to do a bit of internet browsing to see different ideas and options. Pinterest is a great tool for gathering inspiration. Feel free to create a private paper suite board and share it with Ella Letterpress. I am eager to learn about your personal style and what you like
STEP 2: CONSULTATION
When you are ready to get started, we can set up the consultation either in person, by phone, email or even facetime or skype! I will explain the process and go over different options for paper, fonts, colors, etc. This will also give me the opportunity to learn about you and your fiancÈ and get a sense of your overall style.
STEP 3: QUOTE
After determining the details, I will send you a price quote with optional embellishments for you to consider. There are a lot of factors that go into pricing, but wedding suites begin at $12 per suite. The traditional paper suite includes an invitation, reply card, printed reply envelope, printed outer envelope with return address as well as an inner envelope. Before starting the design process, I request a $250 deposit that will be credited toward your final invoice. The remaining balance is paid at proof approval. I am happy to work within each couple's budget if they have set one.
STEP 4: DESIGN TIME!
I am a huge proponent of options because I want you to be 100% happy with the design direction of your suite. I will create a design board of multiple options for you. You are able to combine different elements and don't be afraid to tell me if you don't like something! I want each couple to feel like they are part of the design process. Collaboration is key!
STEP 5: PROOFING
Once we have determined the best design, I will send you proofs of each piece in your suite. Carefully review the wording and specifications. I don't limit the amount of revisions, so proofs are unlimited should you want to see something different.
STEP 6: PRINTING
Once the final proof is approved, it is time to go to print. Production time for wedding invitations is 2-3 weeks after proof approval.
STEP 7: OTHER SERVICES
I am happy to coordinate calligraphy services with the right calligrapher for you. I offer digital guest addressing if you would like your guest names printed on each envelope. Even after the invitations go out, there is still the need for wedding day paper. This paper includes programs, menus, place cards, escort cards, welcome packets and signage. I will also help you with any other wedding items you may need; for example, napkins, cups, koozies etc.
